Sooqhub is a place for everyone. These guidelines exist to keep our community safe, fair, and welcoming for all members.

The short version

Be honest. Be kind. Don't sell dangerous or illegal things. Don't harm, harass, or discriminate against anyone. Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or a permanent ban — and in serious cases, referral to law enforcement.

Community Standards

Sooqhub is built on trust, respect, and genuine human connection. Every member — buyer, seller, or viewer — is expected to treat others with dignity and courtesy. We are a diverse community and we celebrate that diversity. Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or any behaviour intended to make another person feel unsafe or unwelcome will result in immediate account suspension.

We expect all members to:

Communicate honestly and respectfully in messages, live streams, and comments
Honor commitments made during transactions
Report suspicious or harmful behaviour using our in-app tools
Respect the privacy and personal boundaries of other members

Prohibited Content & Items

The following are strictly forbidden on Sooqhub and will result in immediate removal of content and permanent account termination:

Harmful & Illegal Items

Weapons, firearms, ammunition, or explosive devices of any kind
Controlled substances, illegal drugs, or drug paraphernalia
Counterfeit goods, forged documents, or stolen property
Items that infringe on intellectual property or copyright

Dangerous & Harmful Content

Content that promotes, glorifies, or instructs self-harm or suicide
Material that endangers minors in any way — zero tolerance
Content designed to facilitate real-world violence or threats
Malware, phishing links, or any software intended to harm others

Hateful & Discriminatory Content

Content that dehumanises individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
Symbols, slogans, or imagery associated with hate groups or extremist organisations
Targeted harassment campaigns or coordinated attacks against any individual

Zero Tolerance for Hate Speech

Sooqhub has an absolute zero-tolerance policy for hate speech. This includes but is not limited to:

Slurs, derogatory language, or dehumanising statements directed at any person or group
Content that calls for discrimination against individuals based on protected characteristics
Conspiracy theories or misinformation that targets ethnic, religious, or other groups
Mocking or trivialising the suffering of marginalised communities
Content that promotes white supremacy, antisemitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or any other form of bigotry

We understand that context matters — educational, journalistic, and counter-speech uses are evaluated carefully. However, any content that a reasonable person would find hateful or harmful will be removed without warning.

Violence & Dangerous Behaviour

Sooqhub prohibits all content that promotes, glorifies, or facilitates violence:

Graphic depictions of real-world violence, gore, or injury
Threats of violence — explicit or implied — against any individual or group
Content that incites others to commit violent acts
Live stream content showing dangerous, reckless, or life-threatening behaviour
Animal cruelty or content depicting harm to animals

Self-harm: If you or someone you know is in crisis, please reach out to a crisis helpline immediately. Sooqhub will remove any content that promotes or instructs self-harm, and we may proactively reach out to users who appear to be in distress.

Fraud, Scams & Deceptive Practices

Sooqhub is committed to a safe and fair marketplace. The following are prohibited:

Misrepresenting the condition, authenticity, or description of any item
Listing items you do not own or have no intention of shipping
Accepting payment and failing to deliver goods without a valid reason
Creating fake reviews, fake accounts, or manipulating ratings
Price gouging on essential goods during emergencies
"Bait and switch" tactics — advertising one item and delivering another
Any form of financial fraud, including fraudulent chargebacks
Phishing for personal or financial information from other members

Sellers found engaging in fraudulent activity will be permanently banned and may be reported to relevant law enforcement authorities.

Live Stream Guidelines

Live streaming on Sooqhub must follow all community standards above, plus these additional rules:

You must be the rightful owner of all items demonstrated or sold during a stream
Background music and third-party content used during streams must be properly licensed
No alcohol consumption, drug use, or impaired behaviour on stream
Maintain a safe and appropriate environment — minors may be watching
No misleading or exaggerated product claims during live sales
Co-hosts are equally responsible for the content of a shared stream
Streams found in violation will be terminated immediately without notice

Stream hosts are responsible for moderating their own chat. Allowing others to post prohibited content in your stream without action may result in penalties to your account.

Privacy & Personal Information

Respecting the privacy of others is fundamental to our community:

Do not share another person's private information without their explicit consent — including name, address, phone number, email, financial details, or location (doxxing)
Do not record or broadcast another person without their knowledge or consent
Do not use personal information obtained through Sooqhub for any purpose outside of completing a legitimate transaction
All payment and financial data is processed through secure, encrypted channels — Sooqhub staff will never ask for your full card number or banking credentials
We collect only the information necessary to operate the platform and never sell personal data to third parties

Child Safety

The safety of children is our highest priority. Sooqhub has an absolute zero-tolerance policy for any content that exploits, endangers, or sexualises minors in any way.

Any account found creating, sharing, or soliciting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) will be permanently banned and immediately reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement
Content that facilitates grooming, exploitation, or any harm to a child will be treated with the same severity
Users under 18 are welcome to use Sooqhub as buyers but may not register as sellers without verified parental consent

If you encounter any content that you believe endangers a child, please report it immediately using the in-app report tool or contact us directly at sooqhublive@gmail.com.

Intellectual Property

Sooqhub respects intellectual property rights and expects all members to do the same:

Only list authentic, genuine products — no counterfeits, knockoffs, or unauthorised replicas
Do not use brand logos, trademarks, or copyrighted images in your listings without authorisation
If you believe your intellectual property has been infringed on Sooqhub, contact us at sooqhublive@gmail.com with details and we will investigate promptly
Repeat infringers will have their accounts suspended or permanently terminated
Sooqhub complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent legislation in other jurisdictions

Fees & Pricing

Sooqhub charges a platform fee on every completed sale. This fee helps us maintain and improve the platform, provide seller tools, run live streaming infrastructure, and keep the marketplace safe for everyone.

Online Sales — Tiered Fee Schedule

Fees on online sales are automatically tiered based on your total online sales revenue within the current calendar month:

Standard tier (default): 9.87% — applies until you reach $10,000 in monthly online sales
Silver tier: 8.87% — applies once your monthly online sales exceed $10,000
Gold tier: 7.58% — applies once your monthly online sales exceed $100,000

The tier is recalculated with every sale based on your running monthly total. Once your revenue crosses a threshold during the month, the lower rate applies to all subsequent sales that month. Tiers reset at the start of each calendar month.

Example (online sale):

If you sell an item for $100.00 while in the Standard tier, Sooqhub retains $9.87 and you receive $90.13.

If you are in the Gold tier, Sooqhub retains $7.58 and you receive $92.42.

Pickup Sales — Flat Fee Schedule

For items sold and collected in person (local pickup), separate rules apply based on how the buyer pays:

Pickup — Cash payment: 0% fee. No charges whatsoever. The full sale price goes to you.
Pickup — Card payment: A flat $0.50 per item fee is charged. No percentage fee applies.

The pickup card fee covers payment processing costs only and does not vary with sale price.

How it works:

Fees are calculated and deducted automatically at the point of checkout
Your net earnings (sale price minus fee) are recorded in your Earnings dashboard in real time
Your current fee tier and progress toward the next tier are always visible in your dashboard
There are no listing fees, monthly subscription costs, or hidden charges

What the fee covers:

Secure payment processing infrastructure
Live streaming technology and server costs
Platform moderation and Trust & Safety operations
Customer support services
Ongoing platform development and new features

Transparency & Changes:

Your Earnings dashboard shows a full breakdown of every sale: gross amount, fee deducted (with the rate applied), and your net payout
Sooqhub reserves the right to adjust fee rates. Sellers will be notified at least 14 days in advance of any change via the email address on their account

Disputes:

If you believe a fee was incorrectly calculated, contact sooqhublive@gmail.com within 30 days of the transaction with your order reference number

Free Trial & Seller Rewards

Sooqhub rewards sellers who are just getting started and those who grow their business on the platform.

14-Day Free Trial — New Sellers

Every new seller account receives a 14-day fee-free trial period beginning on the date of registration:

During the trial, the platform fee is waived on all completed sales (online and pickup card fees included)
The trial is automatically applied — no coupon code or opt-in required
Your dashboard shows a live countdown of your remaining trial days
The trial ends at 11:59 PM on day 14, after which standard fee rates apply automatically

Trial Integrity & Abuse Prevention:

Sooqhub takes trial abuse seriously. To ensure fairness for all sellers:

The free trial is limited to one per person. Registering multiple accounts to repeatedly claim a free trial is a violation of this policy
We use industry-standard technical measures to detect and prevent duplicate trial abuse, including IP-based registration monitoring
Accounts created in an attempt to circumvent this policy will have the trial revoked, and repeat offenders may be permanently banned

Loyalty Rewards — Points & Fee Credits

Sellers earn points on every completed sale based on their net payout (sale price minus platform fee):

Earn 1 point for every $1 in net payout received
Redeem 100 points for $1 in fee credit, applied automatically to future sales
Fee credits are applied before your platform fee is charged — they reduce your effective fee rate further

Points Multipliers by Tier:

As your total lifetime net earnings grow, you unlock higher reward tiers with bonus point multipliers:

Starter (default — $0–$999 lifetime net): 1× points per dollar
Rising Star ($1,000–$9,999 lifetime net): 1× points per dollar + early access to new features
Pro ($10,000–$99,999 lifetime net): 1.5× points per dollar + priority seller support
Elite ($100,000+ lifetime net): 2× points per dollar + dedicated account manager + lowest fee tier locked in

Tier badges are visible on your seller profile and signal trust and experience to buyers.

Redeeming Points:

Points can be redeemed in increments of 100, 500, or 1,000 from your Rewards dashboard tab
Redeemed points convert immediately to fee credits on your account
Fee credits do not expire as long as your account remains in good standing
Points and credits are non-transferable and have no cash value

How to Track Your Rewards:

Your Rewards tab in the seller dashboard shows your current points balance, fee credits, lifetime net earnings, tier status, and progress toward the next tier
Every sale entry in your Earnings tab shows the points earned for that transaction

Fairness & Changes:

Sooqhub reserves the right to adjust the rewards program structure. Any changes that reduce existing point values or redemption rates will be communicated at least 30 days in advance
Sooqhub may revoke points or credits from accounts found to have earned them through fraudulent means

Enforcement & Appeals

Sooqhub enforces these policies through a combination of automated systems, user reports, and manual review by our Trust & Safety team.

Consequences range based on severity:

Warning — for minor first-time violations
Content removal — violating content is taken down
Temporary suspension — account access restricted for a defined period
Permanent ban — for severe, repeat, or irreversible violations

Appeals: If you believe your account or content was actioned in error, you may appeal by contacting sooqhublive@gmail.com within 30 days of the action. Include your account details and a clear explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect. We aim to review all appeals within 5 business days.

Sooqhub reserves the right to update these policies at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
